The Silent Wedding – Single: Time Of Darkness

The Silent Wedding announced the title of their new release Ego Path two months ago, creating tremendous anticipation. The track they chose to give us a taste with, is called Time of Darkness and was released on December 17, 2021!

 

Time of Darkness was created during the quarantine period, the first track of their new album, includes those elements that make The Silent Wedding stand out all these years. Metal mood, prog and power experimentation, intensity and loud guitars, melodic lines, lyricism and flow, all those things the band wants to narrate - everything is there, ready to unfold! The band-listener identification in thoughts and feelings, emerges almost effortlessly, the deeper questions seem to be unavoidable and everything is focusedaround the journey for introspection that The Silent Wedding have decided to do and share with us in the following months.

The Silent Wedding is a melodic heavy metal band that was formed in 2008 and consists of Marios Karanastasis (Vocals), Jim Katsaros (Guitars & Samples), Giannis Thermos (Keyboards & Backing vocals), Giorgos Kritharis (Bass) and Renos Lialioutis (Drums & Percussion). They have released 2 LPs and an EP, receiving outstanding reviews from the press, blogs and radio stations around the world. They have shared the stage with legendary bands and artists, such as Saxon, Fates Warning, Firewind, Iced Earth, Epica, Annihilator, Warrel Dane and many more, while they have toured in Europe with bands such as Threshold, Maiden United and Voodoo Six.

 

Time of Darkness was recorded, mixed and mastered at Underground Music Studios by Jim Katsaros, artwork by Travis Smith (Seempieces), photo-shooting by Stella Mouzi and the Lyric Video was created by John Kaimakamis (The Nightwatchers).

The telling of the new story of The Silent Wedding - Ego Path, has already begun and will be completed at the beginning of the next year. Time of Darkness honours the period it was written and all the lessons learned in it. Ominous vibes, lyrics and reminiscence of everything the band experienced, who could not have chosen a better prologue for what comes next!
